November 20, 2007 (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) - Chris Holloway, North Idaho Fair
& Rodeo General Manager, was recently named Fair Manager of the Year by the
Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs (RMAF) at their annual convention
at Billings, Montana. Chris has been General Manager since March 1999 and
oversees the 5-day regional Fair, held each August, as well as the operation of
the Kootenai County Fairgrounds & Event Center. Under her guidance and
leadership, the Fairgrounds has seen many improvements, including the
construction of the Light Horse Barn and numerous improvements to the
Jacklin Building. The Fair continues to grow and prosper, with an attendance
of more than 83,000. In addition, the North Idaho Fair Rodeo was named
2006 Rodeo of the Year by the PRCA Columbia River Pro Rodeo Circuit.
Chris lives in Post Falls with her husband, Dave, and two daughters,
Taylor and Margi. The RMAF is comprised of 95 agricultural fairs from
ten states and two Canadian provinces, along with 140 service members.
It hosts a yearly convention that features educational workshops, nationally
known presenters, and entertainment showcases. It is the goal of the
RMAF to assist its membership in promoting fairs and the fair industry
across the region. The RMAF is a non-profit corporation, chartered in the
State of Montana, and working in the fair industry for the past 80 years. |
