a local organization that has been involved with the event for many years.

This is an automotive sport where the participants purchase
and build cars just to intentionally destroy them. The concept is very simple...you buy an old,

American-made, hard-top car, totally gut it, chain the doors shut,

put on a helmet, and ram this car into anywhere from 5 to 25 other cars,
until one, and only one, car is left running. The winner is the car that made the
last contact and can move at least 12 inches in any direction.
